Skylanders has officially entered the trading card game market with Skylanders Battlecast.

In Skylanders Battlecast, players can purchase retail card packs at retail (or digitally in the game) and scan them into the game and watch them ‘come to life’!

Players can play in a single-player story mode, online against their friends, or just can in two cards and watch them duel against each other. This is great for those who love to play card games and frequent websites such as https://magic.wizards.com/en/promotions to get their gaming fix and be transported to another world.

The app launches officially in 2016, but they will release a preview version on September 20th.

It is important to note, this is a brand new app, there will still be a Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack available for iPad. Perhaps it will come with an exclusive card?
