Activation finally unveiled some details regarding the iOS version of Skylanders SuperChargers coming on launch day, September 20.
Shocking, to me at least, is there is no exclusive in the bundle. With how there are 6 variations of Starter Packs, what’s one more?
Here are the official details:
We’re just a few short weeks away from the arrival of Skylanders SuperChargers’ action-packed land, sea, and sky vehicle gameplay on consoles and Nintendo 3DS. But we’ve also got exciting plans for mobile with the launch of the Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack for iPad, and now, for the first time ever, iPod touch and iPhone devices on October 25. Building upon the introduction of Skylanders Trap Team for tablets last year, Skylanders SuperChargers makes it even easier to take the experience on the go with support for iPhone and iPod touch devices. Even better, there’s seamless integration across multiple iOS devices with the arrival of cloud saves, so you can start playing on an iPad at home and then pick up where you left off on an iPhone while on the go.
The Skylanders SuperChargers Starter Pack for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch is the complete package when it comes to playing SuperChargers on your iOS device. The set includes a Bluetooth portal, a built-in stand, and even a Bluetooth controller. That’s right–you’ll have the option of soaring through the skies or racing across the terrain with either a controller or touch controls.
After downloading the game to an iOS device, players will unlock Instant Spit Fire and Instant Hot Streak for free. Your other favorite Skylanders are also available, via in-app purchase. And since this is the same Skylanders SuperChargers experience found in the console versions, you’ll have access to all the same great features, including online co-op and multiplayer racing.
So it is pretty nice that it is the entire console experience, completely portable.
