We are just hours away from the release of Skylanders SuperChargers, can you feel the excitement?
Many of you have been making battle strategies for weeks and months. But for those who haven’t, let me help you out as we head into the release on Sunday, September 20th.
At it’s core, Skylanders SuperChargers is about the figures and their corresponding vehicles. In this year’s entry, there will be 20 figures and 20 vehicles released.
On launch day, through various packs, you will be able to pick up half of these items.
We’ll start with the figures/vehicles, starter packs, and then finish with sales and some other information.
So here is what you can pick up at launch

Single Pack Releases
- Dive-Clops (SuperCharger — Water)
- Fiesta (SuperCharger — Undead)
- Shark Shooter Terrafin (SuperCharger — Earth)

Tablet Edition (iOS): Spitfire, hot Streak, Super Shot Stealth Elf
So yes, if you want to get every figure or vehicle, you will need to buy six Starter Packs. SpitFire, Hot Streak, and Super Shot Stealth Elf should be receiving single figure release at some point in the future. But unfortunately no information is available at this point.
SALES
Unfortunately not a lot of sales to take advantage of for the release of Skylanders SuperChargers.
Toys ‘R’ Us will have everything Skylanders on sale for Buy 1 Get 1 40% off. This includes Starter Packs, accessories, figures, etc.
Best Buy, as always, will give you 20% off Starter Packs, figures, action packs, etc. as part of their Gamers Club Unlocked membership.
CLOSING NOTES
This release is a lot less overwhelming than Trap Team was, with trying to trap down all those various traps. It’s pretty straight forward.
As always with Skylanders releases, wave 2 shouldn’t be that far behind. I haven’t heard of any store getting any shipments in for wave 2. So don’t expect surprise wave 2 releases tonight.
It is important to note, that some figures may be worth waiting to pickup. Skylanders will have some dual and triple packs once again this year. Though unfortunately no release timeframe has been confirmed for these.

So with every Skylanders release, we don’t really have the full release picture yet. We know all the main figure and vehicles coming (excluding the variants). But we don’t know what packs are coming, or when they are coming. So it’s hard to plan out the best strategy on how to save the most money.
