Skylanders Will Not Have A Booth At E3 This Year

In a post about Call of Duty, Activision snuck in a little bit of interesting information about their E3 plans… they will not have a booth on the show floor.

Now this doesn’t mean Skylanders won’t be on the floor in some capacity (they had demo stations at the main video game console companies booths). But obviously those will more than likely just be standard demos with nothing new.

This isn’t a huge shocker, but still is a pretty big deal. Disney Infinity also will not have a booth at E3 this year.

Activision has already announced that a new Skylanders game will be coming in 2016, but no details beyond that is known at this point.

For many of you this is a big deal for one thing… no E3 exclusive?! Last year they made it an “event” exclusive and gave away the figure at events throughout the year.

As a gamer who grew up in the 90s when E3 was king, it’s sad to see the slow death of the expo.

Editor’s note: Activision joins EA, and more than likely other companies who will not have a booth on the floor, but will still have a ‘presence’ at the show.
