Activision CEO on the Skylanders franchise: “We’re still servicing and interested in”

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg went onto YouTube LIVE at E3 to discuss various games at Activision.

Host Geoff Keighley asked Eric what he thought the future of Activision held. Currently the wider gaming community views Activision as the company who only does big things, specifically Call of Duty and Destiny.

Responding to the question, Eric brought up that Activision does try other genres like how they did with Skylanders a few years ago. As for the future? He says:

“That’s a franchise we’re still servicing and interested in different ways obviously. That’s something we’re still behind”

Obviously the brand is continuing with the TV show and also with a new mobile game in 2018. But for the future of the console version, we’ll have to wait and see. But it’s a positive thing to hear from him regardless!
